Freedom Writers

Freedom Writers VI

Wednesday 27/9

Now that we are done watching the movie Freedom Writers and we have answered questions about it and discussed it, we are going to... write about it.

Here is the assignment:

You are going to choose one of the characters from the movie and write a letter to him or her.
Here is a template of a letter with some ideas for words and expressions that you can use to begin and end your letter.
There are also questions that can help you think of things to include in your letter. Of course you are also welcome to come up with your own ideas.
Feel free to save a copy of this letter and replace my suggestions with your own text.
I would like your letter to be around 500 words long, which is about a page. The font size should be 12 points and your letter should be divided into paragraphs. I will comment on your work along the way to help you improve your text.

Have you already forgotten about the characters in the movie? Not to worry! Have a look at this page: http://blogs.oregonstate.edu/wagarethnicstudies/character-profiles/

The best of luck!
